The North Easterners pay the Westsiders a visit on Monday night that will see two clubs of the highest negative goal differences duke it out in the fields of Clementi Stadium.

Tanjong Pagar's 3 nil slum to Gombak United has once again rooted them to the 12th spot and compounding their morbid start to this season's S-League.

Hougang United    vs     Albirex Niigata

Hougang United host Albirex Niigata this Monday evening as the White Swans anticipate a wind of change since their goalless draw against Gombak United at the Jurong West Stadium halted their winning streak to 3.

Nonetheless, Hougang United will be game enough to take on White Swans after some sizzling performance against SAF FC. Mamadou Diallo's blistering pace cause some serious panick for the warriors so I'll be looking forward to more of his speedy trickery in the middle of the park.

Cheetahs having fun with horny hippo

Time to show the Orange Power at the Jalan Besar Stadium when the match between The Cheetahs and Warriors goes live this Friday night.

Both sides have come to this match with much optimism, each bagging 3 points from their last game.

Cheetahs' shock win 1-0 over Gombak and SAF's 2-0 triumph of Home United. SAF are now sitting in 2nd (updated: 3rd) spot whilst Hougang United are making new grounds moving up to 7th (updated: 8th) in the S-league, thanks to a Jordan Webb effort which secured victory for Hougang via a Gombak defence slip up.

Hougang coach Aide was naturally glad of the three points.

“We showed plenty of character tonight, I thought,” he told S-league.com “A goal is a goal, it doesn’t matter how the chance came. And with a couple of tough games coming ahead, this win will be good for our morale.

It was unfortunate to lose Diego, and we’ll have to see what the doctor says on how serious this latest injury is."

Two Hougang United players might miss this coming match, they are Diego Gama who pulled a hamstring and Shariff Samat who has since collected his 5th yellow Card - both from their last match with Gombak United at Jurong West.

Anything can happen especially when on neutral ground. That's why it's vital that Hougang United supporters become the 12th player for the Cheetahs. Your presence at the JBS can prove to be pivotal in the outcome of this match.

Let's get ready to upset SAF like what happened against Gombak United! :)

"What's your beef with Gombak?"

Hougang United's performance on that night when they hosted Balestier Khalsa can be summed up in the words of avid Cheetahs supporter Ian Su Genping as, "Bitter sweet..."

Fast forward to Tuesday, Gombak United FC have only lost twice this season, and are currently 6th in the S-league. Their latest defeat, a 1-0 to SAFFC. Gombak were on a triple winning streak only to see their run cut off by the Warriors, and will be looking to re-establish that favourable form.

While Hougang United who are not too far behind at 8th, will be given another daunting task of the taking the bull by it's horns.
