Hougang United FC



Hougang United Football Club is a professional football club which was formed to play in Singapore's S.League in 2006. The club is a merger of two clubs who played in the S.League in past years – Paya Lebar Punggol Football Club and Sengkang Marine Football Club to form Sengkang-Punggol Football Club, which became further rebranded into its present incarnation Hougang United Football Club.

The club plays its home games at the Hougang Stadium, where both Paya Lebar Punggol FC and Sengkang Marine FC had previously been based.

The Hougang United supporters club also known as the Hougang 'HOOLs' (Hougang Only One Love) was officially inaugurated on the 1st January 2011, just as the football club underwent a change of name (from Sengkang-Punggol Football Club to the present Hougang United Football Club).

Directions 

Hougang Stadium is located at the North-east part of Singapore. Along Hougang Avenue 2, Hougang Stadium can be reached within minutes from CTE exit of Ang Mo Kio Ave 3. If you're taking the North-East Line MRT, alight at Hougang MRT Station and the Stadium will be within walking distance. Alternatively, you can take bus service number 165 from Hougang Bus Interchange and alight at the 3rd bus stop. Alternatively, you can take the mrt to Ang Mo Kio in the North-South Line and then board bus service 25 or 132 which stops just beside the stadium. Or you can simply take other bus service like 55, 62 and 854. Service numbers 165 and 72 can also be taken from outside Ang Mo Kio MRT Station and Yio Chu Kang MRT Station respectively. However, these two bus service numbers will reach the other side of the Stadium.
