Nonetheless, the Cheetahs have still remained up beat about gunning for the 3rd place when they face-off the french team of Etoile FC in November.
Okay back to business. Curiously this season, Hougang seem to folly against the Geylang side.
In March, the Cheetahs took a 1-0 lead when Jordan Webb volleyed in the goal early in the game but Geylang's Korean striker put two within a 15 minute window to give the Eagles a 2-1 score line.
And then in June, Hougang United hosted the Eagles at home which saw Geylang hammered in a similar two goals, but this time Cheetahs unable to reply. 2-0 to the east siders.
How will Hougang do this time? It's all fair game at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
Aide Iskandar should be able to pick from an almost complete squad with only Mamadou Diallo and Basit Hamid sitting this game out, due to injury and suspension respectively.
As for the rest, we should be seeing the regulars ply their ususal trade. Jordan and Noor Ali on the flanks. Azhar and Carlos in the middle. Shariff and Ratna at the back. It's all good.
As for the supporters. How can any game come without the Hougang United Supporters - Hougang HOOLs? They'll be there for sure. Singing their hearts out like they always do. :)
"We'll never die! We'll never die!
We'll never die! We'll never die!
We'll keep the HOUGANG flag fly high!
Cos HOUGANG UNITED never dies!"
