Hougang United vs Etoile FC
Defending Champions Etoile FC may have breezed through Gombak United at ease claiming a 2-0 victory but coming to play the Cheetahs this Monday at the cauldron of Hougang stadium can be a different brew altogether.
The french outfit have since field new players this season but are still charge up the standings in the league in third place with 2 games in hand whilst most teams have already played 14 games.
Etoile FC are still the team to beat and have only conceded 7 goals so far this season and the Cheetahs are the only team having the honours of scoring twice against them when both teams met in March. Cheetahs lost 4-2.
Hougang United are now level in points with Albirex Niigat (S) at 22 points but the Japanese side have tonight's encounter with Home United at Jurong East to conclude their fate.
Meanwhile the Cheetahs should be mentally prep-ed to fend off the french "Ultras" after handing Tampines Rovers their first defeat of the season. Syaqir Sulaiman and Carlos Degaldo delivering a 2-0 blow to the Stags, one from a header and another from the spot kick.
It remains to be seen if the Cheetahs can pull off another upset but rest assured the voices of the 12th players will be there bantering and taunting Etoile FC until the cows come home! See you people again at Hougang Stadium! :)
