Great Eastern-YEO's S.League leaders DPMM FC kept up their good form on Saturday with a 5-1 win over Hougang United at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

DPMM marksman Shahrazen Said broke the deadlock in the 38th minute before Azwan Saleh ensured the hosts would go in at the break two goals up when he netted on the stroke of halftime.

Azwan grabbed his second third nine minutes into the second period and was soon followed by Shahrazen 11 minutes later, although the Cheetahs managed to pull one back in the 74th minute through Mamadou Diallo.

However, DPMM grabbed a fifth four minutes from time when Hougang captain Lau Meng Meng found the back of his own net, capping off a miserable day for the visitors.

Over at the Jurong West Stadium, SAFFC stole a 1-0 win against Gombak United after Japanese midfielder Shimpei Sakurada netted an injury-time winner.

Home United bounced back from last week's loss to Tanjong Pagar United with a 3-1 win over Woodlands Wellington at the Bishan Stadium.

Frederic Mendy broke the deadlock four minutes from time, although the Rams immediately hit back through Hussein Akil.

However, Mendy added two more goals in the second half to complete his hat-trick and wrap up all three points for the Protectors.

On Thursday, Harimau Muda recorded a 2-0 win over Geylang United thanks to stunning strikes from Wan Zack Haikal and D. Saarvindran, while Tampines Rovers beat Courts Young Lions 2-1. (SOURCE)
