Indeed it wasn't a night of rosy affairs as both teams set out to get business done in the center of the pitch.
Courts Young Lions having tasted their first win last week were capitalizing on that positive note coming into this match; and Hougang United needed some uplifting after her previous 3 outings yield no returns.
An early first goal was what it took to make the difference for this evening. A well placed header by Jordan Webb through a Duncan Elias free kick, and the ball flicked past the Young Lions keeper kissing the back of the net. 2 goals in 2 games for Webb.
Much of the second half saw both teams having decent chances with great saves from both keepers.

Hougang United's Ridzuan Hasan had to be on his alert when Young Lions's were awarded a free kick from the left side of edge of the box. Young Lions Nazrul fired in a low shot but his effort was superbly blocked by the diving keeper.
On the other end of the field, midfielder Carlos Delgado saw his effort deflected over the cross bar. Was his shot blocked by a defender or the Keeper. Anyone? I didn't catch that part. But I did see the CYL goalie stretching for the save. Hehe :)

But this night belongs to Hougang United. The boys have done a great job and a win is a win. 3 points to Hougang United! Aide Iskandar is a happy man tonite. Go Cheetahs Go!
